Filipino Storytime #4: A Waray Tale
Time & Location
About the Event
For the month of July, we have a guest reader for Filipino Storytime! Christina Newhard of Sari-Sari Storybooks will be reading her latest book Sandangaw: A Waray Tale. Waray is another dialect of the Philippine language spoken in the Eastern Visayas region. We will read the Waray and English version of the story. For a crafting activity, we will make Philippine Eagle masks.
Let’s learn new songs, vocabulary and connect with other Filipino-American families! It takes a village to build a strong community of parents preserving our heritage and teaching our culture. Save the date: Saturday, July 29 at 3-4:30pm, Pinole Public Library. This event is best for kids 0-5 but open to all kids.
Filipino Storytime is every 4th Saturdays of the Month
